VEX IQ Teams
4-6th Grade

Sign Up is By Team (Parent “Coach” Registers)

  • Beginner to Intermediate

  • Elementary & Middle School Divisions based on birthdate.

  • Elementary school teams (grades 4-6) participate in the Placer IQ League and optional NorCal region

  • Middle School teams (grades 7-8) participate in NorCal region events exclusively

  • Get a jump start on the competition season via the Placer Robotics IQ Summer Camps

VEX Robotics Competition (VRC) Teams
7-12th Grade

Student Application is Required

  • Intermediate to Advanced Competition Teams

  • High level of personal commitment and ability to work collaborative with teammates

  • Demand for the VRC programs is very high - demonstrated interested and/or or previous experience preferred with competition teams or summer camp programs preferred

  • VEX Robotics Summer Camps recommended for all new members

Combat Program
9-12th Grade

  • Student Application is Required

  • Advanced Program

  • High level of personal commitment and ability to work collaborative with teammates

  • Must have or be willing to develop CAD skills

  • 3lb competition program for new to combat

  • 15lb competition program for experienced members

Placer Robotics relies on volunteers, sponsors, and individual and corporate donors to bring competitive robotics to Placer County elementary, middle school and high school students.   We are currently looking for mentors, machine shop/manufacturing partners, funding support, and community partners.

We can accept checks or online donations. Donations made via PayPal Giving have zero transaction fees for the donor or PART.
