Introduction to Robotics (VEX IQ)
Build a competition-style VEX IQ robot in a week — our most popular first camp.
What campers do
Campers learn core robotics skills — mechanical building, simple mechanisms, teamwork, and driver practice — while working in small teams to build and improve their robot through iteration. The session wraps up with a friendly mini-competition. Camp Managers and Lead Instructors are college students and rising high-school seniors, all current or former Placer Robotics team members, at 4:1–6:1 ratios.
Who it's for
Students entering grades 4–7 in fall 2026. No experience needed — many campers join a VEX IQ team the following season.
