2025 Northern California VEX Region 2 Championships Recap
March was an exciting month for Placer Robotics as our teams competed in the Northern California Region 2 VEX Championships across elementary, middle, and high school divisions. The energy, effort, and engineering on display were inspiring, and our students rose to the challenge.
VEX IQ Tournament, Berkeley
Seven teams from our Placer IQ League (grades 4-6) had a great showing in a highly competitive field. Team 295F advanced to the playoffs, and Team 295B was selected to compete at the World Championships!
Middle School VEX VRC, Milpitas: Middle School Tournament Champions!
Congratulations to Team 295W and alliance partner Team 95684B – the Region 2 Tournament Champions! A special thank-you to Winters Robotics for selecting 295W as their alliance partner. Together, they won the title and secured spots at the VEX World Championships.
Five teams represented our region in the middle school VRC event. Placer Robotics sent three 295 teams (295E, 295P, 295W) and Cavitt Middle School joined us with two teams (9537R and 9537Z), rounding out a solid showing for Region 2.
High School VEX VRC, Milpitas
Placer Robotics had a strong presence in the high school division, with five teams (295A, 295R, 295S, 295V, and 295Y) competing. The level of competition was high, and our students demonstrated resilience in a highly competitive field.
We’re incredibly proud of all our teams – not just for their competitive success, but for the way they supported one another, problem-solved on the fly, and represented Placer Robotics with integrity and enthusiasm.
Congratulations again to all our participants, and best of luck to Team 295W and Team 295B as they prepare for the VEX World Championships in May. Go 295!
