2024 Girl Powered Workshop - One FULL team registration (3-4 girls)
Join Placer Robotics at Hewlett Packard Enterprise in Roseville, CA for the 3rdAnnual Placer Girl Powered Workshop for elementary and middle school girls! The two-day workshop allows girls grades 4-8 to form teams to design and build a robot to play against other teams in a game-based engineering VEX IQ Challenge! Use of Robotics kits, lunches, snacks and event t-shirt are included.
Teams with girls grades 4-6 are required to have an accompanying adult. For groups with girls 6-8th grade, the accompanying adult is optional.
We will have experienced robotics camp counselors on-site to assist each team

How much does it cost?
$160 per team. This fee will be waived for girls and teams with any financial difficulty. Please email events@PlacerRobotics.org to request information about financial waivers.
Does each person on my team need to register?
No! Only the primary contact should register and pay behalf of the full team
What’s the process after registration?
We will send a survey approximately 45 days before the event collecting the participant names, grades, schools and t-shirt sizes.
I am looking for a team for my daughter, should I purchase a team registration?
We strongly not recommend pre-buying a full team spot until you have found a team. If you are look for teams for the girl powered workshop, complete the Find A Girl Powered Team form!
Who Can Register During Early Bird Through April 30th?
Any 100% girls group with 3-4 team members
Girls in 4th-8th grade are eligible (9-13 years old) for FALL 2023
Do I really need to provide an adult/mentor for my team?
Yes, each team must have 1 adult present with the team to help manage the group during the two days. The parent does not need any prior technical background!
Contact us at events@PlacerRobotics.org if your full team has a hardship that would prevent you from providing an adult onsite with your group
Can I rotate adult coverage?
Yes, you can several parent rotate over the course of the event. Once the replacement shift arrives, the current adult with the team can leave.
