2026 Northern California VEX Region 2 Championships Recap
Championship season was an exciting one for Placer Robotics, with strong results across elementary, middle school, and high school VEX events.
NorCal VEX IQ Tournament at MOSAC: PART 295Z Zwoks Win Excellence Award
At the 2026 Northern California VEX IQ Regional Championship for elementary teams, hosted by Placer Robotics at the SMUD Museum of Science and Curiosity, PART 295Z earned top honors with the Excellence Award and qualified for the 2026 VEX Robotics World Championship.
Special shoutout to all the PART volunteers who helped make IQ Championships a premier regional event! Your work behind the scenes, from field operations and team support to hospitality and event logistics, created an experience that reflected the very best of the robotics community. We are deeply grateful for the enthusiasm and dedication you brought to the event.
Middle School VEX VRC, East Palo Alto: Cavitt 9537S Takes Top Honors
In middle school VEX V5, Cavitt Middle School Team 9537S, mentored by Placer Robotics, also earned the Excellence Award at the California Region 2 VEX V5 Middle School Championship to qualify for Worlds. PART’s 295W also qualified for Worlds through its skills score.
High School VEX VRC, Tracy: PART 295Y Advances to Semifinals
In the high school division, PART’s 295Y was a tournament semifinalist at the California Region 2 VEX V5 High School Championship and qualified for the 2026 VEX Robotics World Championship through that finish.
