PART relies on volunteers, sports, and individual and corporate donors to bring competitive robotics to Placer County high school students. We are currently looking for mentors, machine shop/manufacturing partners, funding support, and workspace.
You can support our mission in a number of ways:
mentor / volunteer
We are looking for mentors with experience in manufacturing, programming, electrical wiring, mechanics, engineering, business & marketing, and science who are excited about sharing their knowledge with high school students. Program teams typically meet weekday evenings and/or weekends, and mentors can volunteer for specific program teams or across all of PART. Placer Advanced Robotics and Technology is a 501c3, tax exempt charitable organization. Individual and corporate charitable donations are tax deductible and help pay for the equipment, tools, robot parts, materials, competition and operating expenses such as insurance. PART can also accept employer matching funds and product donations. Donations can be designated for specific programs or equipment.
PART is managed by a non-compensated, volunteer board of directors. A copy of our 501c3 IRS determination letter is available here:
Businesses and corporations can sponsor PART through financial support, parts and equipment. machine services and mentor support through your company. We are also looking for shared workspace/meeting space for the robotics teams.
The student leadership team is currently finalizing the sponsorship levels and associated benefits such as logo placement on website, t-shirts, our robots, and promotional materials.
